Diane Bowie Zaitlin received a BFA from the University of Connecticut, and studied at Skidmore College in New York. She has attended workshops at Haystack Mountain School in Maine, R & F Encaustics in New York, and the Maine College of Art. Diane conducts workshops in her Maine Studio, for Haystack Mountain, and for schools, libraries, and museums through the Maine Arts Commission Programs. Diane has exhibited extensively nationally. She received the Saco Museum purchase prize for her encaustic work in the "Milllenial 2012" exhibit. In 2013, her work was included in the acclaimed "Maine Women Pioneers" exhibit at the University of New England, in Maine. She has received prestigious artists' fellowships from the Heliker-LaHotan Foundation, and from Great Spruce Head Island in Maine. Diane's work is currently represented by Cynthia Winings Gallery in Blue Hill, Maine. |
Susan Amons holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art, and has received 22 artists fellowships from the Women's Studio Workshop, New York, Vermont Studio Center, and the Heliker-LaHotan Foundation, in Maine. Susan exhibits her artwork nationally. She is a juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, New York, and the prestigious Peregrine Press, in Maine. Her work was included in "Maine Women Pioneers" at the University of New England, in Maine. Susan was awarded seven mural commissions through the Maine Arts Commission's Percent for Art Program. Amons' work can be found in the collections of the Portland Museum of Art, Farnsworth Art Museum, Colby, Bates, and Bowdoin College Museums, University of New England, Connecticut and Indiana Universities, the New York and Boston Public Libraries, the Zimmerli Museum at Rutgers University, and others. Susan Amons has presented workshops and lectures for the Womens' Studio Workshop, Maine College of Art, University of Maine, the Jung Center of Brunswick, and Monmouth University in New Jersey, where her major solo exhibit "Wildside" was recently presented. |
